ABSTRACT: The benefits of early childhood education in promoting peace education were investigated to understand how early educational interventions can foster a culture of peace. Objectives were to evaluate children's understanding of peace concepts, identify effective educational practices, and assess the long-term benefits of peace education. A survey design was chosen for its ability to collect comprehensive data from a broad demographic. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Adamawa State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to peace education programs demonstrated better understanding and practice of peace concepts, with activities like conflict resolution games, discussions on peaceful coexistence, and interactive peace projects being particularly effective. The study recommended integrating peace education into early childhood curricula to promote a culture of peace from an early age.
